New netbooks to run Google’s Android OS

by DailyManila on June 2, 2009

Can’t wait to see the new netbooks from Acer running Google’s Android operating system. The new netbooks pre-loaded with Android can be cheaper by $25 (from a base of $300) as Microsoft charges companies $25 for each Windows XP install.

Acer Inc, the world’s No. 3 PC brand, plans to sell netbook PCs that run on Google’s Android operating system, posing a potential threat to Microsoft’s Windows. (souce: Inquirer.net)
