President Gloria ‘hemmed and hawed’ hours after she was told about what happened in Maguindano, according to a Malacañang source of Ramon Tulfo in his column at Inquirer.net.
Instead of ordering the arrest of the alleged mastermind, she dilly-dallied until the prescribed 24-hour period, to arrest a person without a court warrant, has lapsed.
According to his Palace insider, the Ampatuans have “aces up their sleeves” against the president that’s why she is handling the situation with kid gloves. The Ampatuans are political kingpins, akin to the Mafia, in Maguindanao and are close allies of the president. They are also considered as demigods by many of their followers, the column notes.
