Story telling and seamless integration of computer graphics animation at its best. James Cameron has nailed it again with his new movie, “Avatar.” The director of Titanic has once more created a classic that will surely go down in history as one of the best movies of all times.
A moral lesson to be learned
While I have yet to see this film in 3D, the 2D version itself will immerse you in a world that only the mind of the genius can imagine. It tells the story of an alien civilization who rises up against corporate oppressors out to destroy their world. To some, it may appear to as purely entertainment but the underlying lesson is clear — protect the world you live in no matter what the cost.
Main characters
Intertwined in the story is the romantic relationship between Jake Sully, the ex-marine played by Sam Worthing, and Neytiri, princess of the Omaticaya Clan played by Zoe Saldaña. The relationship starts with hostility as Neytiri attempted to kill Jake but a Woodpsrite, a very pure spirit, touched her arrowhead, telling her that the human is pure.
Conclusion
Avatar is not only entertaining but also sends a message to love our world and to respect life. Once again, James Cameron has delivered one of the best movies of this year comparable to all-time greats like Titanic, Jurassic Park, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and others.
